Moore Named All-State in Softball

FERRUM, Va.  –  Senior outfielder Trica Moore (Appomattox, Va./Appomattox County) has been named to the 2006 VaSID College Division All-State Softball Team as an honorable mention selection.

2005-06 VaSID College Division All-State Softball Team

Moore batted .385 with seven doubles, four triples, four home runs, and 29 RBI this season.  Ferrum went 23-21 this season.  Moore was an All-Conference first team selection this year in the USA South Athletic Conference.  Moore is Ferrum's career home run leader with 18, and won Ferrum's batting title in 2006 with her .385 average.

Lynchburg College outfielder Caroline Cubbage was named the Player of the Year after batting batting .489 with 17 home runs.  Cubbage was the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the year this season.  Bridgewater College's Donnie Fulk was named Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to a 34-9 record and the ODAC regular season championship.  He was named ODAC Coach of the Year.
