Ferrum Student-Athletes Named
to USA South Academic
All-Conference Team

FERRUM, Va.  –  The USA South Athletic Conference has released its 2005-06 Academic All-Conference Team, sponsored by Bank of America, and 46 Ferrum College student-athletes have been named to the team.  The USA South Academic All-Conference team is officially sponsored by Bank of America.

2005-06 USA South Academic All-Conference Team

To be eligible for Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must have earned a 3.0 grade point average in each of the two semesters of a given year.  Any student-athlete participating in any varsity sport at any Conference institution is eligible.  The sport does not have to be a conference-sponsored sport.

Four of Ferrum's 46 honored student-athletes were double winners this year.  Volleyball player Mindy Altice, softball player Katie Custis, and men's tennis players Matt Brantley and Erich Trier each earned All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors for the 2005-06 academic year.
