McCall Named All-Tournament at EMU Invitational

FERRUM, Va. – Ferrum College women's basketball senior Tawanna McCall (Bassett, Va./Bassett) was named to the All-Tournament team at the Eastern Mennonite University Tip-Off Tournament, held Nov. 18-19 in Harrisonburg, Va.

McCall averaged 14.5 points and eight rebounds over two games as the Panthers opened the season at 1-1.

Ferrum fell 69-59 to host Eastern Mennonite Friday night.  In that game, McCall had 13 points and seven rebounds.  On Saturday, McCall had 16 points and nine rebounds as Ferrum beat Meredith College 78-69.

Ferrum (1-1) returns to action Tuesday, Nov. 22, in its home opener against Roanoke College (1-1).  Coach Bryan Harvey's team will then travel to Fayetteville, North Carolina, for the 2005 Methodist College/Cross Creek InnKeeper Turkey Shootout to be held Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 26-27.  Ferrum will face Piedmont College at 6 p.m. Saturday, then will play LaGrange at 2 p.m. Sunday.
