Rankings
FERRUM, Va. – The Ferrum College football team moved up to #21 in the

The Panthers broke into the AFCA's national rankings October 18th as the
#25-ranked team, then climbed to the #23 spot November 1.
AFCA Division III National Poll, 11/10/05
Coach Dave Davis' team won 63-28 over North Carolina Wesleyan College
last Saturday on the road to stay unbeaten at 9-0 this season with one
regular-season
game left to play.
In this week's d3Football.com national poll, Ferrum continues to receive
points, but has yet to crack the Top-25. In the online
publication's poll, Ferrum has received 37 points, the highest
point total among 17 teams in the "Others Receiving Votes" section at
the bottom of the poll.

The win
over N.C. Wesleyan last weekend gave Ferrum at least a share of the USA
South Athletic Conference title. The Panthers can be the first
school in the five-year history of football in the USA South to claim a
league football title outright with a win over Christopher Newport
University this Saturday, Nov. 12. Ferrum shared USA South (then
the Dixie Conference) football titles with Christopher Newport in 2001
and 2002.
This Saturday's game against CNU kicks off at 1 p.m. at W.B. Adams
Stadium.
Fans who can not make
the game will be able to listen to a live web broadcast via Ferrum's web
broadcast page.
