Lacrosse Picks Up First Win
Perih Nets Four Goals in 8-7 Win
Over Averett
DANVILLE, VA -- The Ferrum College women's
lacrosse team won its first game of the season with an 8-7 USA
South Athletic Conference victory over Averett University April
7th on the road.

Freshman Stephanie
Perih (Centreville, Va./Paul VI) led the Panthers with
four goals, including the game-winner with 5:22 remaining in the
match.
Freshman Cara
Kolina (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Joseph by the Sea) had
three goals in the win, while freshman Ally Davenport (Baton
Rouge, La./Runnells) had a goal.
Freshman goalkeeper
Jessica St.
Clair (Salem, Va./Glenvar) played all 60 minutes in net for
Ferrum, making six saves.
Averett (0-12, 0-5 USA South) was led by Darcie Jones, who notched
all seven goals for the Cougars. Ferrum (1-7, 1-3)
returns to action April 9 with a home contest against Methodist
College.
