Ferrum Baseball Takes Two
of Three from Shenandoah
Panthers Win 7-2 Sunday, Lose 5-4 and Win 7-0 Monday
FERRUM, VA – Ferrum College took two of three games
from Shenandoah University, winning 7-2 Sunday, then losing
5-4 and winning 7-0 this afternoon.

In yesterday's action, sophomore
Casey Davenport
(Bedford, Va./Liberty) pitched a complete 9-inning game,
striking out 11 batters. Senior
Kasey Harmon (St.
Cloud, Fla./St. Cloud) went 2-4 with a solo homer and scored
two runs.
In the first game this afternoon, senior
Quincy
Davenport (Bedford, Va./Liberty) went 2-4 to lead the
Panthers. Shenandoah (5-5, 3-3 USA South) was led by David
Jenkins, who went 3-4, and Preston Tarleton and Adam Duckett, who
each went 2-3.
In the second game, Ferrum sophomore

(Madison Heights, Va./Amherst County) went 3-5 with a double,
two runs, two stolen bases and an RBI. Senior
Jesse Bowles
(Boones Mill, Va./Franklin County) went 2-3 Harmon went 2-4 with
a double, an RBI, and a stolen base. Quincy Davenport went
2-4.
Senior
Randall Stevens (Waynesboro, Va./Wilson Memorial) was credited
with the win after pitching two and two-third innings of relief.
Drew Crawford and Jasen Eberz both went 2-4 to the lead the
Hornets in the loss.
Ferrum (4-4, 4-2 USA South) returns to action Wednesday, March 9,
when it travels to Bridgewater College for a 3 p.m. non-conference
game. The Panthers will then host Virginia Wesleyan College
on Thursday, March 10, in another non-conference game, starting at
3 p.m.
