Golfers Finish 10th at Wingate Tournament
Doughty Leads Team with 162 Over Two Days

MARSHVILLE, NC  –  The Ferrum College men's golf team placed 10th at the Ralph J. Harget, held March 21-22 at Eagle Chase Golf Club.  Ferrum closed out the tournament with a 672 team score, finishing 10th among a field of 11 teams.  All 10 other teams were either NCAA Division II or NAIA programs.

Leading the way for the Panthers was senior Kent Doughty (Mount Sidney, Va./Fort Defiance), who carded a two-day 162 to finish in a five-way tie for 20th place.  Senior Jesse Hodges (Bedford, Va./Liberty) shot a 166 to tie for 31st place.
