Fuller Named USA South
Rookie of the Week

FERRUM, VA –  Ferrum College freshman shortstop Jesse Fuller (Richmond, Va./Varina) has been named this week's USA South Athletic Conference Baseball Rookie Player of the Week .

Fuller helped the Panthers go 3-1 last week with a 5-4 non-conference win over nationally-ranked Virginia Wesleyan College March 10 at home, and a pair of non-conference wins over Chowan College March 13 at home by scores of 7-1 and 3-1.  The Panthers' lone setback was a 10-5 loss to Chowan March 12 at home.

Fuller batted .421 over the course of five games with five RBI's and a double.  Also nominated for the award this week was Jason Eberz of Shenandoah University.

Ferrum (7-5-1) is back in action Tuesday, March 15, at home against Lynchburg College in a single nine-inning game.  The Panthers will then host Maryville College Wednesday, March 16, in a pair of seven-inning games.
