Ferrum Women Win
Panthers Down Averett in USA South Opener
Danville, Va. – The Ferrum College women's basketball team
opened USA South Athletic Conference play with a win tonight,
defeating Averett University 87-71 in Danville, Virginia.

(North, S.C./North) had a stellar evening in racking up 33
points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Sophomore
Charde Evans
(Virginia Beach, Va./Coastal Christian Academy) had 14 points,
while sophomore
Aline
Alzime (Leesburg, Va./Stonebridge) and senior
Amber Triplett
(Bassett, Va./Bassett) added 10 points each. Alzime had a
game-high 14 rebounds as well.
Ferrum (2-4, 1-0 USA South) returns to action December 3rd, facing
Bridgewater College on the road in non-conference action.
Averett (0-4, 0-1) will next face non-conference opponent Mary
