Hodges Paces Panther Golfers
Ferrum 8th at Ted Keller Invitational
Ferrum, Va. – Senior Jesse
Hodges (Bedford, Va./Liberty) posted a two-day total
152 to help lead Ferrum College to an eighth-place finish at the
2004 Ted Keller Invitational.
The tournament was hosted
October 23-24 by Randolph-Macon College at Hunting Hawk Golf
Club in Glen Allen, Virginia.
Hodges carded a 74 on the first day and a 78 the second day to
place 6th individually among a field of 59 golfers. It was
Hodges' career best two-day total.

Tournament Results
Bridgewater College won the tournament, posting a 609 team score
to finish five strokes ahead of runner up Randolph-Macon.
Rounding out the top five teams were Washington & Lee
University (615), Hampden-Sydney College (329), and
Randolph-Macon's B team (631).
For the second time in two weeks, Ferrum finished highest among the three USA South Athletic
Conference teams entered in the event. Averett University,
the 2003 NCAA Division III champion, was ninth with a team score of
646, while Shenandoah
University placed 12th at 701.
Junior William
McLawhorn (Collinsville, Va./Patrick Henry CC) was
Ferrum's next-highest finisher, tying for 34th place
individually at 164. Sophomore Rick
Bergevin (Suncook,
N.H./Pembroke Academy) tied for 39th place at
167.
The tournament closed out
