Softball Sweeps Virginia Wesleyan
Panthers Improve to 21-12 With Non-Conference Wins
 
Ferrum, Va. -- The Ferrum College softball team picked up a pair of wins this afternoon on the road, defeating Virginia Wesleyan College 12-6 and 6-4 on Norfolk, Virginia.

In the first game sophomore Jenny Perdue (Glade Hill, Va./Franklin County) went 2-4 with a double, two RBI and a run.  Junior Jami Reed (Danville, Va./Tunstall) went 2-5 with a double, 2 runs, and an RBI.
 
Sophomore Trica Moore (Appomattox, Va./Appomattox County) went 2-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In the nightcap, Moore went 3-4 with a double, a triple, and three runs.  Moore, pictured above, combined in today's games to go 5-7 with a double, a triple, a home run, five runs, and two RBI.
 
Freshman Kim Cox (Gladys, Va./William Campbell) went 3-4 with a double, a triple, a run, and two RBI.  Senior Lindsay Cox (Waldorf, Md./LaPlata) went 2-3 with an RBI.  Sophomore Kristina Wilhelm (Covington, Va./Alleghany) went 2-3 with a double.
