Ferrum Defeats Shenandoah in Baseball
- Panthers Win 13-1 in First Round of USA South Tournament

defeated #8 Shenandoah University 13-1in the first round of the 2004
USA South Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament this afternoon in
Danville, Virginia.

Senior Carlos
Sanchez (Stanleytown, Va./Bassett) pitched all seven innings,
allowing just three hits, walking three, and striking out
seven. Sanchez, pictured above, improves to 8-2 this season.
Freshman third baseman Brett
Thomas (Danville, Va./George Washington) went 2-3 with a home
run, four RBI, and two runs. Senior outfielder Donnell
Stockton (Martinsville, Va./Fieldale-Collinsville) went 2-2 with
a triple, two runs, and an RBI.
