Ferrum Sweeps Peace in Softball
Doubleheader- Panthers Win 6-0, 5-1

- Ferrum, Va. -- Ferrum College picked up a
pair of USA South Athletic Conference softball wins this afternoon,
beating Peace College 6-0 and 5-1.

- In the first game, sophomore outfielder Trica
Moore (Appomattox, Va./Appomattox County) went 2-3 with a home
run and two runs. Moore, pictured here, is batting .333 with
five doubles, one triple, four home runs, and 17 RBI.

- Freshman pitcher Kim
Cox (Gladys, Va./William Campbell) scattered seven hits over
seven innings, walked one and struck out seven. Cox is now 8-4
on the mound with a 1.82 ERA in 84 innings or work this season.
In the second game, junior pitcher Stacy
Porter (Radford, Va./Radford) went the entire seven innings,
allowing just four hits while walking three and striking out
eight. Porter is now 9-4 this season with a 2.41 ERA in 71
innings on the mound.
Ferrum improved to 17-8 overall with the wins, 7-1 in the USA
South. Peace fell to 10-13-1, 5-6-1 USA South. For more
