Panthers Swept by Methodist
Monarchs Win Two on the Road
 
Ferrum, Va. -- The Ferrum College men's and women's basketball teams suffered a pair of home losses to visiting Methodist College in USA South action this afternoon. The women's team opened the day with a 65-56 loss followed by the Panther men falling 77-55.

In the men's game, senior Kevin Aigbe (Nashville, Tenn./Volunteer State CC) led Ferrum with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Aigbe, pictured at far right, leads the Panthers in scoring (14.6 ppg) and rebounding (8.2 rpg).
 
Eddie Lamar led Methodist with 15 points, while Dragan Radmanovic and Seth Thomas had 13 points each, and Eugene Grant had 12 points. Methodist improves to 11-8 overall, 7-2 in the USA South. Ferrum falls to 8-12, 2-7 in league action.

In the women's game senior, Tanisha Durham (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) had 12 points to lead the Panthers. 
Senior Shermika Harris (Martinsville, Va./Laurel Park) had 10 points and 12 rebounds, and junior Tara Toland (North, S.C./North) had 10 points.  Freshman Aline Alzime (Leesburg, Va./Stonebridge) had 17 rebounds to go with nine points. 

Durham, pictured far left, was honored prior to the game for becoming the College's all-time leading scorer. She now has 1,426 career points. Toland, above center, was also honored for setting new career records in steals and assists. She now has career 255 steals and career 334 assists. 

The Monarchs were led by three players in double figures, Jennifer Dollyhigh with 21 points, Stacy Williams with 12 points, and Stacy Holland with 10 points. Methodist improves to 7-11 overall with the win, 4-6 in the USA South. Ferrum falls to 11-8, 7-3 in the USA South Conference.
