Ferrum Tops 2004 USA South Women's Basketball Poll
Ferrum Men Picked to Finish 6th
 
Ferrum, Va. - In a vote of the league's head coaches, the Ferrum College women's basketball team has been picked to win the USA South Athletic Conference title this season.

Ferrum garnered 58 points overall, including three first-place votes.  Methodist College, which won the league tournament title a year ago, has been picked to finish second with 54 points and three three first-place votes.  Christopher Newport University was picked third with 53 points and three first-place votes.

 

The Panthers closed out the 2002-03 season at 19-8 overall record.  Ferrum and CNU were conference regular season co-champions last year, registering identical 10-6 records against league teams.

The Ferrum men have been picked to finish tied for sixth place this season.  The Panthers closed out 2002-03 at 7-19 overall, 4-10 in conference play, to finish seventh in the eight-team league.  For more information, please contact the Ferrum College sports information office at (540) 365-4306.
