Earns All-Region in Women's Cross Country

Senior Lalita
Brim (Ararat, Va./Patrick County) placed 25th in a field of
157 runners at the 2003 NCAA Division III Cross Country
South-Southeast Regional Championship, held at Emory University in
Atlanta, Georgia.

- Brim eclipsed the 6K course in a time of 24:48. This is
Brim's second All-Region honor, having also earned All-Region in
2001. She earned four
consecutive All-Conference first team honors in the USA South
Athletic Conference (formerly the Dixie Conference), and made the
All-State team four times as well.

Race results
The women's team title was won by Emory University, which totaled
43 points. Christopher Newport University was second with 88
points, while Trinity University was a close third with 90 points.
In the men's race, Ferrum placed 15th in the 20-team race.
Emory also won the men's team title, with a score of 35
points. Christopher Newport and Trinity were second and
third as well in the men's race with scores of 97 and 134,
respectively.

Williams (Stuart, Va./Patrick County) led the Panthers with
his 44th-place finish. Williams finished the 8K course in a
