- Ferrum Women Defeat Shenandoah
- Alzime Leads Panthers With
21 Points

- Ferrum, Va. – In a makeup game, originally
scheduled for January 25, Ferrum College defeated Shenandoah
University 66-60 in USA South women's basketball action this
afternoon at Ferrum.

- Freshman Aline
Alzime (Leesburg, Va./Stonebridge) led the Panthers with 21
points on 8-12 shooting from the floor. Alzime, pictured above, was
5-7 from the line and had five rebounds in 28 minutes of play.
Junior Tara
Toland (North, S.C./North) had 12 points, six assists, and five
rebounds. Junior Amber
Triplett (Bassett, Va./Bassett) had 12 points and five assists.
Senior Tanisha
Durham (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) had 11 points, eight
rebounds and six steals. Senior Shermika
Harris (Martinsville, Va./Laurel Park) had 10 rebounds to go
with four points and three blocked shots.
Shenandoah was led by Alicia Sanders, who had a game high 24 points
on 10-19 shooting from the floor. The Hornets lost despite
out-rebounding Ferrum 46-42. Shenandoah led 30-24 at halftime.

- The Ferrum men will host Shenandoah January 28 at 7:30 p.m. Both
teams will be back in action Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 31 and Feb.
