- Men's Golf Closes Out Season at Dixie

- DiDeo Top Panther Finisher at League Championship

- Ferrum, Va. -- The Ferrum College men's
golf team placed 7th at the 2003 Dixie Conference Golf
Championship, held April 18-19 at the Course at Northgreen in
Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

- Methodist College won the event with a team score
of 576, edging runner-up Greensboro College by seven
strokes. Team scores are listed below, along with a link to
the official tournament results.

DiDeo (Manilus, N.Y./Manilus) was Ferrum's top finished at the
Dixie Tournament, shooting a two-day total of 152, eight over
par. DiDeo closed out the season with an 80.3 average over
16 rounds this season, third on the team.
Sophomore Kent
Doughty (Mount Sidney, Va./Fort
Defiance) closed out the season
with Ferrum's lowest average, a 79.7 per round over 11 rounds.
Junior
Chris Koon (Roanoke, Va./William Byrd) was next with an 80.2 average over 13 rounds, followed by
DiDeo's 80.3 average.
