McBride Earns Honorable Mention All-America
Senior Basketball Standout Caps Outstanding Career with Honor
 
Ferrum, Va. -- Ferrum College's Tina McBride (Glade Hill, Va./Franklin County) has been named as Honorable Mention to the Kodak/Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-America Women's Basketball Team.  McBride, a 5'10 senior forward, caps off an impressive career with this honor.
 
McBride averaged 11.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game this season, leading the Panthers to a 19-8 overall record, and a 10-4 Dixie Conference mark.  Ferrum tied for the Dixie regular season championship, the first in school history. 
 
McBride earned All-Conference honors in the Dixie all four seasons becoming the first Ferrum basketball player, male or female, to earn the award four times, and has earned Academic All-Conference twice.  The two-sport athlete earned All-Conference in tennis in 2002, her first year playing competitively.
 
McBride became Ferrum's all-time leading scorer this season and ended her career with 1,384 points.  She is also the career leader in steals with 249, field goals made with 556, and is second in assists with 308.
