- Jackson Earns Dixie Rookie of the Week
Third Weekly Honor for Freshman Guard
Ferrum, Va. -- Ferrum College freshman guard Chris
Jackson (Clayton, N.C./Garner) has been named Dixie Conference
Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the third time this
season. Jackson helped the Ferrum men go 2-1 last week, all
in Dixie action. He also earned the honor on January 7 and
January 22.

- Jackson shot a blistering 63% from 3-point range
last week, drilling 15-of-24 shots from behind the arc, and
averaging 17 points a game over the three games.

- In a 75-72 win at Greensboro College January 27,
Jackson had 19 points and six three-pointers. Jackson had 14
points in a 88-73 home loss to North Carolina Wesleyan College
February 1, and 18 points in a 58-51 home win over Chowan College
February 2.

- Jackson is now shooting 46.6 percent from
three-point range, 83.3 percent from the line, and is averaging
11.8 points per game. Ferrum is 7-11 overall and is
currently fourth in the Dixie Conference standings with a 4-3
league record. The Panthers play at Averett University
February 5 at 7:30 p.m., then host Christopher Newport University
