- Ferrum Women Defeat Emory & Henry
- Panthers Close First Semester at 5-1

- Ferrum, Va. – The Ferrum College
women's basketball team picked up a 76-65
win over visiting Emory & Henry College tonight in
non-conference action. The win gives Ferrum a 5-1 heading into the
holiday break.
Sophomore Tara
Toland (North, S.C./North) led Ferrum with 23 points, seven
steals, and six assists. Toland, pictured here, leads Ferrum in
scoring (20.2 ppg) and assists (5.5 apg).

- Senior Tina
McBride (Glade Hill, Va./Franklin County) had 20 points, eight
rebounds, and six blocked shots. Junior Tanisha
Durham (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) added 14 points on 7-11
shooting.

- Emory & Henry was lead by Danielle Moore's 18 points and
eight steals. Erin Connelly had 15 points and 13 rebounds, while
Dawn Chewning had 11 points and nine rebounds. Emory& Henry
lead by 17 in the 1st half and was up 42-35 at the break. Ferrum
out scored the Wasps 41-23 in the second half.
