- Panthers Defeat Greensboro in Double OT
- Harris Nets 26, Named to All-Tournament Team

- Salem, Va. – The Ferrum College men's
basketball team opened the 2002-03 season this weekend at the
Salem Bank & Trust Tournament, hosted by Roanoke College Nov.
23-24. This afternoon's contest was the consolation game of
the tournament.

- Sophomore Justin
Harris (Danville, Va./George Washington) led the Panthers,
scoring 26 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Harris,
pictured here, was 9-18 from the floor, 8-9 from the line, and had
a pair of steals. He was named to the All-Tournament team
for his efforts. In the two-day tournament, Harris averaged
19 points and 11.5 rebounds per game.

- Freshman Jamaal
Eatmon (Raleigh, N.C. Broughton) had 23 points, while freshman
Chris
Jackson (Garner, N.C./Garner) had 17 points. Junior Kevin
Aigbe (Nashville,
Tenn./Volunteer State CC)
had nine rebounds and five steals.
In Saturday's season-opening game, Ferrum fell 76-58 to Goucher
College. Harris had 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Eatmon
had 13 points. Aigbe had
11 rebounds to go with seven points against Goucher, totaling 20
rebounds in the two games.
