- Ferrum Women Win at
Bridgewater
- Panthers Pick Up 57-53 Non-Conference Road Win

- Ferrum, Va. – Sophomore Amber
Triplett (Bassett, Va./Bassett) drilled five three-pointers
tonight, scoring 21 points and leading the Ferrum College women's
basketball team to a 57-53
non-conference road win over Bridgewater College in
Bridgewater, Virginia.

- Triplett, pictured at right, was 5-of-8 from behind the arc for
the Panthers, who improved to 6-1 with the win. Junior Shermika
Harris (Martinsville, Va./Laurel Park) had eight points and 13
rebounds for Ferrum, while senior Tina
McBride (Glade Hill, Va./Franklin County) had eight points and
10 boards.
Sophomore Tawanna
McCall (Bassett, Va./Bassett) pulled down 13 boards in her
first game this season. She closed the game with five points
on 2-of-9 shooting and 13 rebounds in 23 minutes of play.

- Junior Tanisha Durham (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) had eight
points and seven rebounds, and sophomore Tara
Toland (North, S.C./North) had seven points, six rebounds,
four assists and three steals.

- Ferrum improves to 6-1 with the win, while
Bridgewater falls to 3-5. The Panthers play next at Medgar
Evers College Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. in Brooklyn, N.Y., then at York
