Jackson Earns Spot on All-Tournament Team
Ferrum Drops Pair at Rinso Marquette Tournament
 
Ferrum, Va. –  Freshman Chris Jackson (Clayton, N.C./Garner) has been named to the All-Tournament team at the Rinso Marquette Tournament, hosted Jan. 4-5 by Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania.  Jackson, pictured at right, averaged 16 points for the Panthers, which dropped two games in the tournament.
 
Ferrum lost its opening-round game to Richard Stockton College of New Jersey Jan. 4th, 70-63.  Jackson had 16 points, including four treys.  Freshman RaRa Cunningham (Asheville, N.C./AC Reynolds) added 14 points in the loss.  Ferrum trailed 36-34 at halftime. (Ferrum-Richard Stockton box score)

The Panthers then dropped a heart breaker to SUNY Institute of Technology Jan. 5th, 83-79, in the tournament's consolation game.  Ferrum trailed 47-33 at halftime.  Jackson had another 16 points for Ferrum.  Freshman Sydney Jackson (Brooklyn, N.Y./Liberty Co.) led the Panthers with 19 points, and also had six rebounds.  The 19 points is a season- and career-high for Jackson, pictured at left.  (Ferrum SUNY Tech box score)
 
Junior Kevin Aigbe (Nashville, Tenn./Volunteer State CC) had 14 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to SUNY Tech.  It was his second double-double in three games.  Aigbe, pictured at right, had 12 points and 11 rebounds in Ferrum's 74-70 win over Lynchburg College Jan. 2nd at home.  The win helped Ferrum complete a sweep over Lynchburg in the home-and-away series.  Ferrum also defeated the Hornets 83-80 on Nov. 26th on the road.
