Played basketball and baseball at Ferrum from 1960-62 * Started in both sports two years * Went on to play baseball at Lynchburg College from 1962-64, where he started both years * Earned Mason-Dixon All-Conference second team honors in 1964 * Taught physical education and driver education in Roanoke County School System from 1965-95 * Head Baseball Coach at Cave Spring High School for 17 years * Baseball team won nine district titles * Timesland Baseball Coach of the Year four times * Head freshman and junior varsity boys basketball coach at Cave Spring High for 17 years (7 district titles) * Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Cave Spring High one year * Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Cave Spring High one year * Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach Roanoke College, 1985-2000 * Helped Roanoke make nine NCAA Division III playoff appearances * High school football official 25 years, 15 VHSL playoff games, two state championship games * College football official 30 years, eight NCAA Division III playoff games, one NCAA Division III national championship game, five Division I-AA playoff games * 2006 Silver Whistle Award, Southern Conference Official of the Year
