Naff Gets 500th Career Win

Just a day removed from winning a share of the 2002 Dixie Conference baseball regular season title, the Ferrum Panthers gave Head Coach Abe Naff his 500th career win with a 9-5 win over visiting Lynchburg College on Monday, April 15, 2002.  Naff is an alumnus of Lynchburg. (see the release)
 
Naff was a standout catcher for Lynchburg in the early 1980s, earning All-Conference honors as a catcher twice for the Hornets.  Naff's career record after the win on April 15, 2002 is 500-175-1, giving him a .740 winning percentage in his 18th season at the helm of the Ferrum Panther baseball program.  Below are a few pictures of Naff's special night.

The win over Lynchburg gave Ferrum a 25-6 overall record.  The Panthers are currently tied for 17th in the nation in the latest American Baseball Coaches Association poll.
