Susan Spataro graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Music from Moravian College, where she also received the Leonovich and T. Edgar Shields Awards for excellence in music. Upon receiving her M.M. in Piano Pedagogy/Performance at Temple University, she was added to the faculty teaching both piano and theory. She also owned and operated a music school in Colmar, PA for 15 years. An accomplished flutist as well, Susan played with the Allentown Symphony for 17 years, and also performed with the Pennsylvania Sinfonia, Basically Baroque, Lehigh Valley Chamber Orchestra, and the Roanoke Symphony.
