The object of this game is to help students recognize the meanings of colloquial language through context clues from The Jack Tales by Richard Chase. Students guess consonant letters to earn points for their team. They may guess vowels, but do not receive points for them.
Make a circle covered with freezer paper, waxed side out. Divide the circle into twelve sections, numbering points in each section. Cut a point counter from heavy cardboard and attach to wheel with a large rivet. Use chalkboard to draw in blanks representing letters. Spin the counter to assign points for each correct answer.
