Application Procedures Candidates for admission to Ferrum College must have graduated from an accredited high school or have earned an equivalency certificate based on GED tests.

Freshman Admission
To be considered for freshman admission to Ferrum College:

  1. Complete the Ferrum College Application for Admission and attach the $25 application fee. (Online applicants will be notified by the admissions office by mail on how to submit the $25 fee.)
  2. Ask your guidance counselor to send your official high school transcript directly to the Office of Admissions. GED recipients must submit proof of GED or equivalency certification.
  3. Send your College Examination Scores from the SAT or the ACT. Scores will be sent directly to Ferrum College if you list the college code on your exam form.

Transfer Admission
To be considered for transfer admission to Ferrum College:

  1. Complete the Ferrum College Application for Admission and attach the $25 application fee.  (Online applicants will be notified by the admissions office by mail on how to submit the $25 fee.)
  2. In addition, transfer applicants must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities previously attended.
  3. If out of high school less than one year, you must submit your official high school transcript and College Entrance Examination Scores from the SAT or the ACT.

International Students
International students should apply as soon as possible.

  1. High School transcripts are required and must be translated 
    into English.
  2. Scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) are required and should be sent to the Office of Admissions.
  3. The Certificate of Finance Statement must be submitted, along with a statement from your banking institution stating your ability to pay for your education. The Certification of Finance Statement will be provided by the Ferrum College Office of Admissions.
