Ferrum's Campus Visit Grant

Take advantage of Ferrum's new bonus for visiting campus:  Our Campus Visit Grant!

Braaten on PorchAll high school or transfer students seeking full-time admission to Ferrum College for Fall 2015 and who make an official visit to campus between the dates of June 1, 2014 and May 1, 2015 are eligible to receive a $1,000 campus visit grant.

In addition to visiting campus, an eligible student must gain acceptance and enroll at Ferrum College. The grant is renewable for four years of enrollment at Ferrum.

An official visit is one arranged with the admissions office, a coach, or another official representative of the college. Official visits may include:

  • Touring campus with a representative of the admissions office
  • An interview with an admissions counselor
  • Attending a Fall or Spring Panther Preview Program
  • Participating in a group visit arranged by a high school or another entity
  • Participating in an athletic recruitment visit **
  • Attending any special visit opportunity hosted by the admissions office

** Students visiting campus as athletic recruits or at the invitation of another official college representative must notify the admissions office. Notification can be completed by calling the admissions office at 540-365-4290 (toll free: 1-800-868-9797, option 1), by emailing admissions@ferrum.edu, or by having the coach notify admissions.  In most cases, coaches include a visit to the admissions office as part of each recruit visit, which will also qualify the student to be eligible for the grant.

Students attending Ferrum College through a program that meets or exceeds their tuition are ineligible for the campus visit grant. Such programs may include but are not limited to the tuition benefits, tuition exchange, and veteran administration benefits/military programs.
