The PACE (Pathways: Advising, Connection, Exploration) Office

The PACE (Pathways: Advising, Connection, Exploration) Office is responsible for easing the transition to Ferrum College for both freshman and new transfer students by coordinating the scheduling process and PAWS sessions.  PACE also assists students throughout their freshman and sophomore years as they enter into a major course of study.

Facilitating faculty members' role as advisors (in conjunction with School Deans) is a key component of PACE.  PACE staff manages on-line advising tools and advisor assignment processes, and updates advising records.

Part of the PACE Office is devoted to an inviting advising center for all students to support academic planning and the undergraduate experience as well as exploration of graduate school options.  The PACE Program is an integral part of the Pathways to Success framework.  It is particularly focused on the Connection and Exploration Gates, in addition to advising.
