About the program
The EPD program at Ferrum College is more than just science! This interdisciplinary program challenges students to think critically to explore solutions to current environmental issues by including not only the Environment but also Economic and Social aspects.
Choose your emphasis
This degree allows the student to pick a focus area. This gives the student a wider range of knowledge, which allows greater range of job opportunities. There are 5 areas of focus to pick from:

Experiential & hands-on learning opportunities
Projects throughout the EPD program all are done alongside college and community members. Even more important than the papers you will write, are the contacts that are made with local residents and officials of Franklin County and beyond!
