Personal

I am the father of two daughters.  A Pittsburgh native, I am a founding member of the Steelers' Nation.  My hero is Roberto Clemente, more for his humanitarian spirit and social accomplishments than for his legacy as a phenomenal baseball player (and he was an incredible right fielder).  I enjoy music in all forms, but I am partial to the blues, and I especially like the interactive nature of a live performance.  Another favorite activity of mine is taking the Harley out for a ride; I have an '06 Nightrain, a post-deployment gift to myself.

Military

I retired from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in 2007 after 22 years of combined active duty and reserve service, which includes two deployments to Iraq and 13 months in the Far East.
