Tuesday, February 11th

Speaker: Kimberley S. Crannis '83 -Chief of Police, Blacksburg, Virginia. Kimberley
S. Crannis received her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from Ferrum College
in 1983 and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Virginia Tech in 2000.
Chief Crannis is a graduate of the 190th session of the FBI National Academy, the 58th session of the Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar and the 17th session of the Professional Executive Leadership School. She began the Blacksburg
Police Department’s Citizen Police Academy as part of her graduate work and the agency
just graduated its 28th class. The Blacksburg Police Department is a nationally accredited Law Enforcement
Agency with 82 full time employees.
Radford University Graduate Programs and MBA Program | Franklin Hall Atrium | 11:00am
Two representatives from Radford University will be here to meet with students about
1) graduate programs available at Radford and 2) the MBA program.
Virginia Employment Commission | Franklin Hall Atrium | 11:00am – 1:30pm
A representative from the Virginia Employment Commission will be on campus to advertise
employment opportunities available in the State of Virginia.
Wednesday, February 12th
Panel and Individual Mock Interviews | 9:00am - 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 4:00pm time
slots are available
(Limited Interviews Slots – Sign up early!) ,Practice interviewing in a one-on-one
situation and a panel interview. The panel will consist of local employers and alumni
who are interested in preparing students for the “real” interview. Each session
will last approximately 40 minutes – you will need to submit a resume beforehand.
There are interview times available in the morning and afternoon. * Pre-registration
is required to participate in the Interviewing Sessions - email firstname.lastname@example.org

CAREER FOCUS DINNERS: SPRING 2014
The Career Focus Dinner employers for spring 2014 are listed below. There is a sign-up sheet at the Career and Leadership Center counter to sign up for
the program and free dinner for students. You will need to drive or find a ride to the company program, which is held at the
company, in Roanoke. Directions will be sent the week of the program and dinner.
Students in the past have gotten internship and full time employment from employers
in the programs. There are only 4 slots for each program and alternate slots if all slots at other colleges are not full. Radford University,
Roanoke College, Hollins University and Virginia Western CC all participate in this
program. Business dress is required as you may be meeting a future employer! The program and dinner usually is over by
