FACULTY POSITIONS 

Faculty appointments begin on August 15, 2015, except where noted otherwise. Computer Information Systems – Assistant Professor.

The Computer Information Systems (CIS) program at Ferrum College is currently seeking to appoint a tenure-track faculty at the assistant or associate professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to have a doctorate in Computer Information Systems or related field, with expertise and/or experience in Programming and Cybersecurity. A demonstrated record of college teaching experience is desirable. Responsibilities: TEACHING: Courses in Cybersecurity, C++, Java, Data Structures, and Visual Basic as well as other core courses in the CIS curriculum. Advising students and supervising internships. SCHOLARSHIP: Provide evidence of scholarship, publication and/or presentation activity through appropriate professional venue and involvement in scholarly projects with faculty and students. SERVICE: Participate in College, School, Program, and disciplinary leadership.
