Professor H. Wayne Bowman, Coordinator of Theatre Arts, has a long and varied background in theatre. He holds the B.A. in Theatre Arts from Berea College, the M.A. in Acting and Directing from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and the M.F.A. in Directing and Play Writing from the University of Virginia.

H. Wayne Bowman has been a working director for forty years.  Productions include The Lion in Winter, The Elephant Man, Of Mice and Men, The Grapes of Wrath, South Pacific, Deadman Walking, The Laramie Project, and, most recently, The Crazy Quilt which he wrote and produced.

He had work published in The Exquisite Corpse, Eclectica, WriteThis, Nantahala, and 3 A.M. literary reviews.  His short story "Sour Milk" was included in the Pretend Genius Press print anthology, Fish Drink Like Us.  "Sour Milk" was also selected for inclusion in the Story South, Million Writers Notable Stories of 2004.
