Ferrum College Alumnus Allen DeHart Gifts 172-acre DeHart Botanical Gardens in Patrick County to the College

Ferrum, Va. (March 4, 2013) – Last December, Ferrum College announced that educator, author, philanthropist and Ferrum College alumnus Allen DeHart of Louisburg, North Carolina, had gifted the 172-acre DeHart Botanical Gardens in Patrick County to the College. A wonderful article by Duncan Adams with photographs by Stephanie Klein-Davis landed on the front page of The Roanoke Times on Sunday, March 3.
